Privacy and terms of use

Who is responsible for this site

This is my own website: Hanna Beer, interpreter, trainer and researcher, based in São Paulo, Brazil. For anything concerning your data or the content published here, write to contato@hannabeer.com.br.

What data the site collects

The contact form receives whatever you fill in: your name, email address, organisation and the details of your request, such as date, city, languages, format and message.

The company hosting the site logs technical data for each visit, such as IP address, browser and page requested, to keep the service running and secure. I do not use these logs to identify visitors.

The site uses no cookies and no analytics or advertising tools, and it does not track your browsing. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is stored only in your browser. If any of this changes, this page will be updated first.

What I use the data for

I use the form data to reply to your request and, if the work goes ahead, to arrange and carry it out. This is the legal basis set out in Article 7(V) of Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law No. 13,709/2018).

I do not send newsletters or promotional material to people who contact me through the form, and I do not sell or share their data. When a request is better suited to Inclua or to another professional, I ask before forwarding your contact details.

Who else has access

Three services handle your message along the way: Formspree receives the form, keeps a copy and forwards it to my email; Hostinger hosts that mailbox; and Vercel hosts the site. Some of these services operate outside Brazil, so your data may be processed in other countries.

How long I keep it

I keep messages for as long as they are needed to deal with the request and to keep a record of work carried out. You can ask me to delete them at any time.

Your rights

You can ask me to confirm whether I hold data about you, to give you access to it, to correct or delete it, and to take the other steps listed in Article 18 of the LGPD. Just write to contato@hannabeer.com.br. If my reply does not settle the matter, you can lodge a complaint with Brazil’s National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

Using the content

The text and photographs on this site may not be reproduced without permission. You are welcome to quote passages, provided you credit the author and link to the original page.

The academic publications listed are subject to the licences of the journals and publishers that issued them.

About the information on this site

These pages describe my work and are not a commercial offer. Availability, fees and conditions are agreed in writing for each request.

The guidance for event organisers is general information and is no substitute for assessing each event individually.

External links

The site links to third-party pages such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Substack, APIC and Inclua. Subscriptions to Café com TILS are handled by Substack. Each of these services has its own privacy policy and terms of use.
